Product information "Solidot XB6S-EC2002 EtherCAT Bus Coupler"

The Solidot XB6S bus coupler is the head module of the XB6S slice series: it connects your controller to the attached XB6S input and output modules over the industrial fieldbus. The I/O modules plug onto the backplane bus, are detected automatically and supplied cyclically – so you build a decentralised I/O island close to the field instead of wiring every signal back to the PLC.

🏭 Typical applications

  • Machine and plant building: compact I/O islands right at the machine, connected via the existing fieldbus.

  • Conveyor and intralogistics: distributed sensors and actuators along long runs, without star wiring back to the central controller.

  • Packaging and special machinery: fast, deterministic I/O – up to motion-grade depending on the protocol.

  • Retrofit: extend existing plants with decentralised I/O, matched to the installed control system.

  • Two Ethernet ports 10/100 (RJ45), daisy-chain capable for line topology.

  • Up to 32 XB6S expansion modules on the backplane bus, automatic detection.

  • 24 V DC supply (permissible 18 – 36 V DC), input current 600 mA, passive cooling.
