The Odot MG-CANEX acts as a protocol converter here, converting CANopen data into Modbus TCP and thus enabling direct integration into Ethernet infrastructures.
The MG-CANEX works as a master in the CANopen network and connects to standard CANopen slaves (PDO, SDO, Heartbeat). At the same time, it acts as a Modbus TCP server via which up to five TCP clients can access CANopen data in parallel.
