If you build a long XB6S slice segment with many modules, you will eventually reach the current limit of the couplers internal 5 V backplane. The Solidot XB6S-P2000 injects fresh power at exactly that point so the following modules stay reliably supplied.

Long segments: extend a slice assembly with many modules without overloading the backplane supply.
Re-feed: use it once the couplers 5 V load is exhausted.
Supply sections: divide the segment cleanly into powered sections.
