🏭 Typical applications
Position/speed: evaluate ABZ incremental encoders right in the field.
Handwheel/jogging: process manual inputs at operator stations.
Length/cut measurement: capture the exact counter value at the moment of an event via the touch-probe input.
Fast reaction: compare outputs switch when a position is reached – without waiting for the PLC cycle.

2 encoder channels (A/B/Z), single-ended, up to 1 MHz; modes ABZ, pulse+direction, CW/CCW.
Per channel: 4 touch-probe inputs, 4 general DI, 4 compare outputs, 4 general DO (NPN).

🌐 Fieldbus connection
This module is not a standalone fieldbus device: it plugs onto an XB6S bus coupler, which handles the connection to PROFINET, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, Modbus and other protocols. You capture or generate the signals right in the field and transmit them over your existing fieldbus.

Configuration via the web browser on the coupler. 35 mm DIN rail, dimensions 106 × 72 × 25 mm, approx. 0.11 kg.
