🔌 PROFIBUS DP bus coupler with power module and end cap

The coupler is the head of an XB6 station: it talks PROFIBUS DP to the controller and supplies the attached I/O modules through the 5 V backplane. Power module and end cap are included. For installations staying on PROFIBUS this is our remote I/O answer — we do not stock the newer XB6S series with PROFIBUS.

⚙️ Series characteristics

  • 5 V backplane bus, supplied with 18 – 36 V DC through the power module in the coupler kit

  • -10 °C to +60 °C operating, -20 °C to +75 °C storage, 95 % relative humidity without condensation, IP20

  • 35 mm DIN rail, pluggable spring-loaded terminals, a green LED next to every channel

  • Module 106 x 73 x 25.7 mm, coupler and power module 106 x 61 x 22.5 mm

Technically XB6 is not a risk: the series has been in the field for years, the modules are mature and the documentation is complete. Manuals, GSDML, ESI and EDS files, EPLAN macros and 2D and 3D models are in the downloads section of this page.
