If you need to switch loads that a 0.5 A transistor output can no longer handle, or have to output signals via relay contacts instead of semiconductors, the Solidot XB6S-0012J/6 is the relay module of the XB6S slice series: 12 relay outputs, distributed right in the field.

🏭 Typical applications

Larger loads: switch contactors, heaters or lamps with up to 2 A per channel – four times a 0.5 A transistor output.
Signals to third-party equipment: pass enable signals and messages via relay contacts to neighbouring systems or higher-level controllers.
Eliminate interface relays: the relays are already in the module – fewer components on the DIN rail.
Distributed: place relay outputs where the loads are instead of running every wire back to the cabinet.

⚙️ Key technical data

12 relay outputs, switching current max. 2 A per channel.
Supply 24 V DC; electronics supplied with 5 V DC via the X-bus.
Status LED per channel, IP20 protection, operation −20 to +60 °C, storage −40 to +80 °C.

💡 Relay contacts are wear parts: for very frequent switching cycles – such as pulsing valves – the transistor outputs of the XB6S digital modules are the better choice.

🌐 Fieldbus connection

The modules are not standalone fieldbus devices: they plug onto an XB6S bus coupler for PROFINET, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP or Modbus TCP. The coupler handles communication with the controller, and the modules exchange their data with it via the X-bus.

🔧 Mounting and dimensions

35 mm DIN rail, dimensions 106 × 72 × 25 mm. Pluggable terminal block with spring-clamp terminals – snap on and wire without tools.
