If you want to read in pushbuttons, sensors and limit switches or switch valves, contactors and indicator lamps – distributed right in the field instead of long point-to-point wiring back to the cabinet – the Solidot XB6S 16-channel digital modules are the basic building blocks of the XB6S slice series. Choose between 16 inputs or 16 outputs.

🏭 Typical applications

Collect sensor signals: capture proximity switches, light barriers and end positions of a machine station in one place – with PNP and NPN sensors.
Switch actuators: drive solenoid valves, interface relays and indicator lamps directly with 24 V DC and up to 0.5 A per channel.
Save wiring: connect signals close to the field and run just one bus cable to the cabinet.
Extend a system: add missing I/O points to an existing XB6S station without touching the PLC.

🧩 Which variant?

Use the selection to choose input (XB6S-1600) for reading sensors and pushbuttons or output (XB6S-0016B) for switching actuators. If you need more channels or inputs and outputs on one module, take a look at the 32-channel modules.

🌐 Fieldbus connection

The modules are not standalone fieldbus devices: they plug onto an XB6S bus coupler for PROFINET, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP or Modbus TCP. The coupler handles communication with the controller, and the modules exchange their data with it via the X-bus.

🔧 Mounting and dimensions

35 mm DIN rail, dimensions 106 × 72 × 25 mm. Pluggable terminal block with spring-clamp terminals – snap on and wire without tools.
