If you need a frequency inverter for pumps, fans, conveyors or hoists with more I/O, CANopen and optional speed feedback, the Kinco KC200 is a universal vector inverter from 1.5 to 45 kW for three-phase 400 V. Modbus RTU and CANopen come as standard on every model — for compact standard drives up to 5.5 kW, the smaller Kinco KC100 is available.
🏭 Typical Applications
Pumps, fans and HVAC: The integrated PID controller works with two analog inputs — setpoint and actual value at the same time, without an external controller. AVR voltage regulation keeps the output voltage constant when the mains fluctuates.
Hoists, agitators and heavy starts: 150 % rated current for 60 s and 180 % for 3 s, sensorless 150 % rated torque already at 0.5 Hz. With the KC200-UVWPG encoder card, this becomes closed-loop vector control with 200 % torque at 0 Hz. The brake chopper is built in up to 45 kW.
Networked machines: Modbus RTU and CANopen without an add-on card. According to Kinco, up to 32 inverters can run in a master-slave group via Modbus or CAN.
Brand change in existing plants: According to Kinco, the parameter addresses of the old inverter in the PLC software can be mapped to the KC200 — which makes switching brand or series easier.
⚙️ Control and Functions
Three control modes: V/f control (linear, user-defined, V/f separation), sensorless vector control SVC (speed range 1:100, ±0.5 %) and, with encoder card, closed-loop vector control FVC (1:1000).
Output frequency up to 599 Hz, carrier frequency up to 12 kHz, frequency resolution 0.01 Hz.
Ramps: linear or S-curve, four sets of acceleration/deceleration times.
Frequency setpoint via keypad, digital potentiometer, analog input, pulse input, Modbus/CANopen, PID or up to 16 preset speeds — main and auxiliary frequency can be combined.
Autotuning of motor parameters, two-motor operation with alternating control of two motors.
Power-loss ride-through: During a short voltage dip, the motor feeds energy back and the inverter keeps running.
Fewer nuisance trips: overcurrent and overvoltage stall control, wave-by-wave current limiting on load surges, temperature-dependent carrier frequency reduction.
🔌 Connections and Control I/O
6 digital inputs (DI1–DI6): NPN/PNP, DI6 also usable as pulse input up to 100 kHz.
2 analog inputs (AI1, AI2): each 0–10 V or 0–20 mA via jumper, 12 bit.
2 analog outputs (AO1, AO2): 0–10 V or 0/4–20 mA.
2 transistor outputs (DO1, DO2): 30 V / 50 mA, DO2 also as pulse output up to 100 kHz.
2 relay outputs: changeover contacts, 250 V AC / 3 A or 30 V DC / 1 A.
RS-485 (Modbus RTU) and CAN (CANopen) as terminals.
Port for external keypad with parameter copy between devices.
⚠️ Before Ordering
No integrated EMC filter: Operation according to EN 61800-3 requires an external mains filter (Kinco filters meet category C2). Matching filters for each power rating are available separately.
External brake resistor: The brake chopper is built in; the resistor is connected to ⊕/PB.
Mounting clearances: at least 100 mm above and below, 50 mm at the sides.
