Versatile compact frequency inverter from Kinco for driving asynchronous three-phase motors (three-phase). The KC100 is the latest frequency converter model from Kinco and was introduced in 2024. With the KC100, Kinco is passing on positive price developments in power electronics components to end customers without compromising on quality, reliability or function.
Compared to the previous CV20 series, this model offers the following improvements:
- AVR voltage regulation, to compensate for fluctuating mains voltages, e.g. for use in developing countries
- Vector control
- S-curve acceleration for smooth starting and braking, e.g. for positioning or inertial loads
- Integrated brake chopper for braking inert loads
- Auto-tuning of motor parameters for smoother motor operation
- Fan control according to cooling requirements (instead of continuous operation)
- Better overcurrent suppression (automatic speed reduction),
to avoid shutdowns with errors - Speed tracking, determination of the current motor speed and start from the current speed
- Real Modbus RTU protocol (RS-485) for parameterization
(the predecessor CV20 uses a non-standardized function code 41 for permanent parameterization) - Maximum frequency 600 Hz for high speed applications
- Simple connection of an external control unit via extension connection
- Spring terminals I/O terminal for quick wiring, e.g. of series devices
- Frequency setting via frequency table with 8 values via 3 digital inputs (CV20 = 15 values with 4 inputs)
- Frequency specification via analog input 0 - 10 V, 0 - 20 mA
- Frequency specification via Modbus RTU
- Frequency specification via PID control (frequency inverter as actuator for pumps, for example)
- Frequency specification via pulse input up to 50 kHz (new)
- No integrated EMC filter, external EMC filter required
- Digital inputs can only be used as relay input / NPN input (minus-switching)
