Product information "Braking resistor for frequency inverter 1560 W 40 Ohm green"

For frequency inverters with built-in brake chopper. Resistors are connected to these choppers to dissipate energy from the braking of the motor. This prevents an overvoltage shutdown when the motor feeds current back into the DC link as a generator.

Use braking resistors if your load has a high moment of inertia and the frequency inverter goes into the error state (overvoltage) during braking (deceleration).

1560 W are well suited for inverters from 11 kW, but can also be used for larger frequency inverters.

40 Ohm are suitable for single-phase frequency inverters from 2.2 kW and three-phase frequency inverters from 11 kW.

Note: This resistor has a relatively low ohmic resistance and is therefore not suitable for frequency inverters with low power. Please check the minimum resistance for your model in the frequency inverter manual so as not to overload the brake unit on the device. If the model's minimum resistance is not reached, the braking currents will be too high and damage the inverter.
