Need an operator panel where things get washed down, hosed off or used outdoors? The Kinco GL2100E-WIFI-LRF is the waterproof version of the GL2 series: the entire housing is IP65-protected – not just the front. Instead of open sockets, a permanently attached, shielded 5 m cable carries power, Ethernet and the serial interfaces out of the unit. On top come built-in WiFi, isolated power and interfaces, and a conformal-coated PCB.
🏭 Typical applications
Food and beverage plants: Filling, packaging or cleaning systems that are wet-cleaned regularly. Since the whole unit meets IP65, the rear and the cable exit are also protected against water jets and dust.
Outdoor and mobile applications: Pumping stations, wash systems, agricultural machinery or vehicles. The 10 to 28 V DC supply range covers 12 V and 24 V on-board systems, and the supply is galvanically isolated.
Panel mounting in wet areas: Install in machine enclosures or operator consoles with a 260 × 180 mm cut-out, screwed from the rear – or free-standing via the VESA 75 × 75 mm interface on a support arm or column.
Connection without laying LAN cable: Use the built-in WiFi to connect the panel to the plant network, a PLC on the same network or Kinco's EdgeAccess 2.0 remote maintenance.
🖥️ Display and touch
The 10.1" TFT display offers 1024 × 600 pixels and 16.7 million colours. Active area 222.72 × 125.28 mm, brightness 300 cd/m², contrast 800:1, viewing angle 85/85/85/85°. The LED backlight is rated for 30,000 operating hours. Operation is via a 4-wire resistive touch – it works with gloves and wet fingers too.
🔌 Integrated cable instead of sockets
All signals run through a 14-core, twisted-pair, shielded cable, 5 m long with open wire ends. You terminate the wires directly in your junction box or control cabinet:
Power: 24 V DC nominal (10–28 V DC), galvanically isolated.
Ethernet: 1 × 10/100 Mbit/s via four wires in the cable, T568B pin assignment – for example terminated on an RJ45 keystone module.
Serial: COM0 RS-232/RS-485 and COM2 RS-232, both isolated. RS-422 operation and a third COM port as on the standard GL2 models are not available here.
USB: 1 × USB host under a cover on the rear – for a USB stick (program download, data backup), keyboard, mouse or printer. There is no USB slave port; you load projects via Ethernet or USB stick.
WiFi: IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, built-in antenna.
⚙️ Processor and memory
Dual-core ARM processor at 1 GHz, 128 MB DDR RAM and 256 MB NAND flash, built-in real-time clock. Important for your project: the standard GL2 models have 4 GB flash and 256 MB RAM. For very large projects with many screens or recipes, plan more headroom on the LRF.
🌐 Remote maintenance with EdgeAccess 2.0
Via WiFi or Ethernet you upload and download HMI projects remotely, monitor the screen live and access the connected PLC by pass-through – to upload, download and monitor the PLC program.
🔗 PLC drivers and protocols
DTools Pro includes drivers for all common controllers: Siemens S7-200/300/400/1200/1500 and LOGO!, Mitsubishi, Omron, Beckhoff TwinCAT, Schneider, Delta, Inovance, Xinje, Kinco and CODESYS V3-based controllers. Plus Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP as client and server, MQTT and OPC UA.

Protection class: IP65 for the entire unit.
Electrical: isolated power supply and serial ports, insulation resistance over 50 MΩ at 500 V DC, dielectric strength 500 V AC for 1 minute, ride-through of voltage dips up to 3 ms.
PCB: conformal coated.
Environment: operation 0 to 50 °C, storage −20 to 60 °C, 10–90 % relative humidity (non-condensing), vibration 10–500 Hz at 30 m/s².
Power consumption: 6.72 W at 24 V DC, passive cooling.
🔧 Mounting and dimensions
Dimensions: 271 × 191 × 49.5 mm (W × H × D).
Panel mounting: cut-out 260 × 180 mm; the unit is screwed from the rear of the panel. Kinco recommends a tightening torque of 0.5 Nm so the seal works and the housing does not deform.
VESA: alternatively 75 × 75 mm, 4 × M4 threads on the rear (M4 × 10 screws).
