If you want to equip a machine with an operator interface and a controller without wiring two devices and using two slots in the cabinet, the Kinco GK2070HE-42DTP is a compact all-in-one solution: a 7" touch panel and a programmable logic controller with 42 built-in inputs and outputs in a single housing.
🏭 Typical applications
Packaging, labelling, conveying: multi-station machines where recipe management and operation belong on the machine itself — the 24 inputs cover sensors and push buttons without additional I/O terminals.
Fans, pumps, boilers: plants with a manageable number of signals, where operating hours, setpoints and fault messages come together in one place.
Dosing and fluid handling: the two analog inputs with 16-bit resolution accept pressure, flow or level transmitters with 4-20 mA directly.
Livestock and greenhouse equipment: temperature and humidity monitoring, feeding, irrigation — with expansion modules for thermocouples and RTDs.
🖥️ Display and operation
7" TFT with 1024 × 600 pixels, 16.7 million colours and 450 cd/m² brightness. The LED backlight is rated for more than 30,000 operating hours. The front panel is IP65 rated and therefore splash-proof — cleaning in food processing or livestock environments is not an issue.
🧤 Resistive touch: works with gloves
The 4-wire touch screen responds to mechanical pressure. Work gloves, wet fingers or a stylus all work equally well — unlike capacitive glass touch panels.
💡 In return, there are no multi-touch gestures such as pinch and zoom. If you need those, a capacitive panel is the better choice.
⚡ Built-in PLC with 42 inputs and outputs
24 digital inputs 24 V DC, wired as either PNP or NPN
16 digital outputs as PNP transistors, 500 mA per channel, with short-circuit, overtemperature and reverse-polarity protection
2 analog inputs with 16-bit resolution for 4-20 mA, 0-20 mA, 1-5 V and 0-10 V, measuring accuracy 0.2 % F.S.
4 high-speed counter inputs up to 200 kHz, including A/B incremental encoders
4 PWM outputs and 4 edge interrupts on I0.0 to I0.3
Program capacity 60 kB, data capacity 16 kB, of which 4 kB is retentive.
🔧 Two expansion slots as standard
If the built-in I/O is not enough, the two EXP slots take modules from the Kinco GK20 range: current and voltage signals, thermocouples, RTDs, additional digital I/O. Slot EXP0 also accepts a serial module, slot EXP1 a CAN module.
🔌 Connectivity
Ethernet 10/100 Mbit/s — one RJ45 port with a built-in layer 2 switch, shared by the HMI and PLC sections, each with its own IP address. That saves a switch port in the cabinet.
Isolated RS-485 — up to 115.2 kbit/s, for Modbus RTU as master or slave and for free ASCII protocols
USB-A for memory sticks, keyboard or barcode scanner
USB-C for project transfer, firmware updates and printer output
The power supply is isolated and protected against reverse polarity, overcurrent and surges. All terminals are push-in spring terminals — wiring without a screwdriver.
💻 Programming with two tools
The controller is programmed with KincoBuilder Pro to IEC 61131-3 — structured text, ladder diagram, function block diagram, sequential function chart and instruction list are available, along with project, POU and task management, simulation and trace. Ready-made motion libraries are provided for Kinco servo drives.
The visualisation is created in DToolsPro with recipe management, alarm history, operation log and user permissions.
⚠️ The two sections are configured separately and developed in two separate programs. Anyone familiar with the Kinco MK series will feel at home immediately.
🔩 Mounting and dimensions
Front panel mounting in the cabinet door, cutout 192 × 138 mm. Outer dimensions 204 × 150 mm, mounting depth 63 mm including terminals. Operation from 0 °C to 55 °C at 10 to 95 % relative humidity, non-condensing; storage from −20 °C. Supply 24 V DC with a permissible range of 19.2 to 28.8 V, power consumption 10 W. Passive cooling, no fans.
