If you need a permanently mounted way to capture 1D and 2D codes on machines, installations, kiosks or workstations, the Newland FM430 Barracuda is a rugged all-round fixed-mount scanner. A megapixel camera reads practically any barcode and QR code quickly and reliably – even very small ones and straight off a screen.

Fixed scanning station at the machine: Capture parts, orders or batches by code without a handheld scanner. Connects directly to a controller or PC via USB or RS232.
Operation at the Kinco HMI: The FM430 pairs easily with all Kinco HMIs – ideal for scanning orders or items right at the interface.
Self-service & ticketing: Kiosks, event entry, parking machines, access control and boarding – codes from smartphone screens are read reliably too.
Logistics & production: Express delivery, postal services and production lines benefit from handsfree operation with automatic triggering.
📷 Scanning
Megapixel 2D imager (1280 × 800 CMOS) for 1D and 2D codes. IR and light sensors trigger scanning automatically and adjust illumination to the code's reflection – ideal for reading displays. Handsfree or manual trigger. Optional laser or LED aimer as a targeting aid.
🔌 Connectivity
Available as a USB kit or with an RS232 connection. RS232 lets you integrate the scanner directly into HMI and control environments.

Like every Newland scanner in our range, the FM430 works with Kinco HMIs without special setup.
