SVLEC PRA0801 – Electronic Circuit Breaker, 8 Channels, 1 – 10 A, Display

Where many 24 V branches are fed from one power supply, you need protection that switches off only the faulty branch and keeps the rest running. The SVLEC PRA08 electronic circuit breaker distributes the 24 V supply to eight individually protected channels — in a width of only 42 mm. You set the rated current per channel between 1 and 10 A directly on the device using the keypad, and the display shows you the status.

🏭 Typical applications

• Selective protection in the control cabinet: Controller, field devices and actuators each get their own channel. A short circuit in one branch no longer takes down the whole power supply and the PLC with it.

• Saving cabinet space: Eight protected channels in 42 mm width replace a row of individual miniature circuit breakers including potential distribution.

• Capacitive loads: Devices with large input capacitors such as bus modules or RFID readers do not cause false trips at switch-on. Up to 20 mF load capacitance per channel is permitted.

• Remote monitoring: With IO-Link (PRA0802) or Modbus TCP (PRA0805) you monitor and control the channels from the controller or the control system.

• Rated current per channel: 1, 2, 3 … 10 A, set using the keypad on the device.

• Display: read the channel status directly on the device.

• Early warning: signal as soon as a channel reaches 90 % of its set current.

• Group alarm: A potential-free contact (normally closed) reports faults to the controller.

• Remote operation: Channels can be switched and reset remotely via digital inputs and outputs.

• Standard: According to the manufacturer, compliant with EN 60204-1 and reliably interrupts ground faults within 5 s.

• PRA0801 (760011): 8 channels with display, remote operation via digital I/O.

• PRA0802 (760012): 8 channels with display and IO-Link communication for process data and diagnostics.

• PRA0805 (760013): 8 channels with display and Modbus TCP for monitoring and control via Ethernet.

• Alarm contact: spring-type terminal up to 2.5 mm².
