A DIN rail power supply feeds everything in the control cabinet that runs on 24 V: PLC, bus modules, sensors, valves. If it fails or the voltage drops under load, the machine stops. The SVLEC PR power supplies convert 85 – 264 V AC (or 120 – 373 V DC) into a regulated output voltage, work with active power factor correction and reach a typical efficiency of 94 %. Via the DC OK contact, your controller always knows whether the supply is up.
🏭 Typical applications
24 V supply in the control cabinet: Power controller, remote I/O, sensors and actuators from one power supply — from 120 W to 480 W.
48 V applications: The PR-480-48 delivers 48 V DC / 10 A, for example for drives or loads with a higher voltage.
Monitored supply: The potential-free DC OK contact reports a supply failure directly to the PLC.
Selective protection: Combined with an electronic circuit breaker (e.g. SVLEC PRA04 / PRA08), you split the 24 V into individually protected branches.
⚡ Functions
Wide-range input: 85 – 264 V AC, 47 – 63 Hz, alternatively 120 – 373 V DC via the same terminals.
Adjustable output voltage: via potentiometer (ADJ): 23.5 – 28 V on the PR-120-24, 24 – 28 V on the PR-240-24 and PR-480-24, 48 – 55 V on the PR-480-48.
Protection functions: short-circuit, overcurrent, overvoltage and overtemperature protection. In case of a short circuit, the power supply runs in hiccup mode and restarts by itself within 10 s after the fault is cleared.
Active PFC: low mains interference, harmonics according to IEC/EN 61000-3-2 class A.
Status indication: "DC ON" LED on the front, DC OK contact up to 30 V DC / 1 A.
Long service life: MTBF over 300,000 h (MIL-HDBK-217F, 25 °C), convection cooling without fan.

🔧 Mounting and connection
Mounting: DIN rail TS35, the rail must be grounded.
Connection: screw terminals, 26 – 10 AWG (120 W / 240 W) or 28 – 10 AWG (480 W), tightening torque max. 0.4 Nm.
Environment: −40 °C to +70 °C, 20 – 95 % relative humidity.
Housing: aluminium and sheet steel with plastic front, protection class I.
📋 Standards and certification
Emissions: EN 55032 Class B (conducted and radiated), harmonic currents to EN 61000-3-2 Class A.
Immunity: to IEC/EN 61000-4-2 through 61000-4-6 and 61000-4-11, e.g. ESD ±6 kV contact / ±8 kV air, RF field 10 V/m, burst ±4 kV, surge ±2 kV line-to-line / ±4 kV line-to-ground.
Safety: according to the manufacturer, compliant with IEC/EN/UL 62368, UL 61010 and UL 508. Certification to EN 62368 and UL 61010 is in progress according to the manufacturer.
