Technical data
The touch panels of the TouchWin series from THINGET are available in 4" and 15" sizes. The panels have a TFT touch display with high resolution and 16 million colors. Images and graphics can thus be displayed very well.
The models have 128 MB RAM and 128 MB flash, 2 x RS232/485 ports for connecting several PLCs as well as a USB port for programming and a USB port for connecting a mouse, keyboard, printer, USB hard disk or similar. The panels can therefore be used very flexibly. Communication drivers for all common PLCs are included.

Create a first project
The project planning tool for the TouchWin touch panel is simply called TouchWin Edit Tool. You can download the Touchwin HMI software here. After the Edit Tool, you should also install the USB driver for the touch panel so that the project can be easily downloaded to the panel via USB. This is quick and easy. You are now ready for your first TouchWin project. To do this, you can create a new project using the white sheet in the TouchWin tool at the top left. Select the size of your TouchWin panel, then which PLC is connected to the PLC port (the ports are labeled accordingly) and which PLC is possibly connected to the download port. Now give your project a name and some comments if required. You have now created your first executable empty project and are ready to learn more about the TouchWin configuration environment in the next chapter.
