Acquire or output analog values where they occur — without long measuring cables that pick up every disturbance on the way to the cabinet. The PN4 analog module takes 25 mm of rail width right at the machine and connects to your controller over PROFINET. No bus coupler and no separate power supply required.
🏭 Typical applications
Pressure, level and temperature transmitters: read 4–20 mA sensors close to the process instead of routing the current loop across the shop floor.
Setpoints for variable frequency drives: output 0–10 V or 4–20 mA directly at the drive.
Proportional valves and actuators: provide analog manipulated variables in the field.

PN4-A40I: 4 current inputs, selectable 0 – 20 mA or 4 – 20 mA, input impedance 100 Ω
PN4-A04V: 4 voltage outputs, load impedance ≥ 2 kΩ
PN4-A04I: 4 current outputs, load impedance ≤ 200 Ω
16 bit resolution, ±0.1 % accuracy, sampling rate ≤ 1 ksps. The measuring range is parameterised per channel in the PROFINET project, not set by jumpers on the device.

🔗 Compatibility
The code value ranges match the common PLC formats: 0 – 27648 and -27648 – +27648 correspond to the Siemens format, and the full 16 bit scaling (0 – 65535) is available as an alternative. Blocks from existing S7 projects therefore carry over without rescaling. The module is integrated via its GSDML — with Siemens S7-1200 and S7-1500, CODESYS, Beckhoff TwinCAT and any other PROFINET master.
🔧 Mounting and commissioning
The module clips onto a 35 mm DIN rail. The terminal blocks are pluggable — you wire them up in the cabinet and plug them on afterwards. To swap a module in the field you pull the block, take the device out and plug the block back on: not a single wire is disconnected.
